H-YPE always has your safety and security in mind. Hence, when you choose a password to access your H-YPE account, it is automatically encrypted. This means that you are the only one that will ever know what it is. That is why when you forget your password and click on the "Forgot password?" link, you are sent a completely new and auto-generated password to regain access to your account.

This safetly precaution has a single point of failure, this being when you use the same password on other sites.

Unfortunately, many other sites DO NOT ENCRYPT your password and can see exactly what it is.

It has come to our attention that some unscrupulous sites have been using these un-encrypted passwords to access some of our members' accounts and post links to their sites in the H-YPE forum.

For your own safety, please use a different password for H-YPE than you do with other sites. 

To change your password is a simple process. One way to do it is to:

• hover your cursor over the Profile tab in the navigation bar (the icon looks like this )
• click on "Profile View" in the dropdown
• click on "Edit" in the "Actions" block
• enter in your new password in the "Change Password" field
• re-enter your password in the "Confirm Password" field
• scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Save"

and please try to use a mixture of numbers and letters too.
