Once upon a time  there was a fellow who found out that he'd accidentally made a new friend, called Hermes. Hermes was a strange friend to have and his friendship was not really welcome, but no matter what this fellow tried, he knew Hermes was here to stay.


Eventually this fellow accepted Hermes into his life and low and behold, his life changed direction completely.........and it was GOOD!


It turned out that Hermes was quite well known and had lots of friends ALL OVER THE WORLD. Hermes inspired this fellow to bring all these lovely people together in an attempt to create a network of support and in turn, a sense of community.


He then took inspiration from one of Herme's friends called Funkydiva who'd arranged a small gathering of Herme's close friends. With the help of another of Herme's friends called Cariad, he pressed on and arranged another gathering, but it had grown and was now a party.


After that, this fellow continued on his merry path of parties and they continued to grow bigger and bigger and bigger and everyone had so much fun. He was very happy indeed because many of Herme's friends told him that the parties really helped them regain a part of their lives they felt was lost and gone forever and he was even happier when his new friends went off and arranged parties of their own in far away lands.


He too had made many good friends and met lots of really cool and lovely people.....and all because of Herpes....oh I mean Hermes.


Isn't it wonderful how something good can come out of something we thought was not so good?
